How it works…

Insurance Information:

I am an in-network provider with United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oscar Health, Oxford, and Aetna in the state of New York.

If you are not a member of the plans listed above and your plan offers out of network benefits, I can provide you with a billing statement that can be submitted for partial reimbursement. For more information about navigating this process, refer to the section below on Accessing Out of Network Benefits.

Fees and Payment:

My out of network fee is $175 per 60-minute psychotherapy session which is the industry standard in Brooklyn, New York. Fees are due at the beginning of each session and can be collected in cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal.

Accessing Out of Network Benefits:

Please contact your insurance provider to verify whether your specific plan is eligible for out of network benefits. Your insurance provider may ask about a CPT code, and this will be 90837.

Some helpful questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have out of network benefits for mental health and behavioral health?

  • Does my plan reimburse for psychotherapy provided by a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW)?

  • Do I need to meet an out of network deductible? If so, how much will that be?

  • At what rate will I be reimbursed (i.e., 60%, 80%, etc. of the original fee)?

  • Does my plan reimburse for telehealth (video) psychotherapy sessions?

  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions that can be reimbursed annually?

  • Is there a limit on the total amount that is reimbursable annually?

  • What is the process for getting reimbursed?

Session Schedule:

Sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis. In certain circumstances and only after consistent engagement in weekly treatment, we can reduce the frequency of sessions to every other week as you progress.

COVID-19 and Telehealth:

Currently I am only providing therapy via telehealth. I use a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform to ensure your health information remains protected and confidential.
